Warmboard
Warmboard is more than just a radiant heat panel. It is an elegantly simple system that provides numerous benefits and cost efficiencies throughout the months that your home is under construction. More importantly, decades after construction is complete, the fast response, even floor temperatures and energy efficiency of Warmboard will deliver the comfort and performance expected from a radiant heat system.
Installed like a conventional subfloor, Warmboard is a high-performance radiant heating platform and subfloor combined. Fusing a high strength tongue and groove plywood structural APA rated subfloor panel with a state of the art low mass high performance radiant heat floor panel, Warmboard panels house PEX tubing in an even, consistent pattern.
Critical to the panels's performance is a thick sheet of aluminum stamped to match the
channel pattern and permanently bonded to each panel. While many argue that a concrete subfloor provides a superior thermal mass for radiant heating applications, consider the fact that frying pans are made of aluminum and not concrete. Heat flows efficiently and evenly from the aluminum, through your floor coverings and into the living space above.
Warmboard is stiff, strong and especially tough. It can be cut with a circular saw and nailed or screwed directly to your floor joists just like any conventional subfloor. The same labor that would ordinarily install just a subfloor, installs a high performance radiant panel system, saving time and labor from the very beginning. Other radiant heat systems are more labor intensive because they're added either above or below the subfloor. Warmboard is the subfloor.
As Warmboard is installed, the four modular panel types create an infinite variety of radiant tubing layouts to suit the needs of any home. A roll of half-inch PEX tubing (the radiant industry standard for toughness, reliability, and performance) is then easily installed into the channel to complete the hydronic circuit.
With Warmboard, you will enjoy a superior quality of radiant heating. Warmboard radiant heat systems simply outperform other radiant heating panels:

- High conductivity of Warmboard radiant heating means more even floor temperatures
- High conductivity means thick plush carpeting, hardwood or tile is no problem
- Low mass provides fast response radiant heat that is easy to control
- Fast response means "just right" temperatures right when you want them
- The radiant heat system that saves you money throughout the installation
- The radiant heating system that doesn't ask you to compromise
